Alumni Accomplishments: Mark Doyle

Mark Doyle, a recent graduate of the History PhD program and Irish Studies alum, has been awarded a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Penn Humanities Forum at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Doyle will continue to focus on the topic of his dissertation, "Fighting Like the Devil for the Sake of God: Protestants, Catholics and the Origins of Violence in Belfast, 1850-1870." Mark was also awarded a Harry Frank Guggenheim Fellowship for his dissertation.
