The Legacy of Mayor James Michael Curley

On Sunday, April 6th, the Jamaica Plain Historical Society will hold a talk on the legacy of Mayor James Michael Curley from 3 to 5 pm. The event will be hosted by Clint Richmond at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Brookside Avenue, JP. The event is free and open to the public; parking is available on site.

There will also be a viewing of campaign memorabilia and a showing of a 1957 interview with the Mayor by Edward R. Murrow recorded at Curley's JP home. This interview has not been shown in 50 years. It is also the 100th anniversary of the parish.
