Call for papers: Ireland and the Fin De Siécle

The Committee for Irish Literatures in English of the Royal Irish Academy presents Ireland and the Fin De Siécle, September 3-4, 2009. Panels will be drawn from the following areas: The New Woman in Irish Writing: Wilde and Irish Decadence, George Moore and the Irish Fin De Siécle; Visual culture and Irish Decadence; genre fiction; Irish/European connections. Abstracts of no more than 500 words should be sent to Dr. Eibhear Walshe (e.walshe@ucc.ie) and Dr. Derek Hand (derek.hand@spd.dcu.ie) by March 1, 2009.
